Tiger Woods remains out of the 2020-21 PGA Tour as he recovers from yet another back surgery. To date, he has only played in three events this season: the U.S. Open in September, the ZOZO Championship in October and the Masters in November. He also played at the 2020 PNC Father Son Challenge — not considered an official PGA Tour event — in December.

When will Tiger Woods return to play?

For anyone wondering when Tiger might return, don’t hold your breath. He hasn’t committed to return for any particular event.

Tiger on Jan. 19 tweeted that he would at least miss out on the Farmers Insurance Open and The Genesis Invitational as he recovers from having a pressurized disc fragment surgically removed:

Tiger’s surgery is the latest in a long line of back issues he has dealt with dating to 2010. It’s uncertain when he will return to play, though it seems as if he will miss, at minimum, the Farmers Insurance Open, Waste Management Phoenix Open, AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and The Genesis Invitational.

Potential events for which Tiger could return include the World Golf Championships-Mexico Championship; the Arnold Palmer Invitational; The PLAYERS Championship; or the Masters. It’s also possible that he would return to earlier events to get back into playing shape.
