Home of Disney, Pixar, Marvel Studios, Star Wars and National Geographic, the new launch date for Disney+ for markets in western Europe is March 24, 2020. Countries include U.K., Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Switzerland. According to Disney, additional western Europe markets, including Belgium, the Nordics, and Portugal, will follow in summer 2020.

Disney+ is available on most internet-connected devices. It offers commercial-free programming with a variety of original feature-length films, documentaries, live-action and animated series and short-form content.

The service is also the exclusive streaming home for films released by The Walt Disney Studios in 2020 and beyond. Movies being released by Disney this year include Mulan, Artemis Fowl, Soul and many more.

As stated in a news release, fans of all ages will be able to watch exclusive original programming which includes feature length films, series, documentaries and short form content made exclusively for the service.

Subscribers will also have access to the critically acclaimed The Mandalorian, from executive producer and writer Jon Favreau. The show has won the hearts of Star Wars fans across the world due to a character known as Baby Yoda or The Child. Recently, Build-A-Bear announced that it will be featuring the character as part of its collection. However, the popularity of the character has sparked controversy as well, with Disney tracking down makers on Etsy creating replicas of the character.

Other well known series include High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, The World According to Jeff Goldblum, which explores the wonderful and often astonishing world of deceptively familiar objects. A live action remake of Lady and the Tramp, a timeless retelling of the 1955 animated classic, is also on offer.
